A few things about me:
Ethnic background: 1/2 Chinese (Hong Kong-ese), 1/2 European (1/8 British, German, Irish, and Austrian) Canadian. In other words, CanEurAsian.
Interesting facts: I'm left handed, and I'm related to the Liverpool Lennons!!
Personal statement: I've written some things I'm not too proud of, but, nevertheless, I stand by what I've written, good and bad.
Blood type: A+
Height: 174 cm
Pet peeves: smokers who blow smoke RIGHT IN MY FACE!, and smoking. Improper use of, or just plain lack of, grammar; ditto spelling, in fanfiction, and in general, really bugs me as well. I've seen many a good fic spoiled because the writer did not know how to write properly or did not take the time to proofread their work properly (I know everybody isn't perfect, myself included, and don't know everything about grammar and spelling but that's why there are betas!!)
Age: 20 years-old; my birthday's above.
Favourite colour: jewel tones; usually emerald green, sometimes cerulean blue.
Interested in: learning new things, chemistry, becoming a writer, and either a lawyer or something in the medical field, not necessarily a doctor.
Favourite foods: strawberries, lady finger biscuits, palmiers puff pastry (also sometimes referred to as papillons, in Canada at least), dace fish with rice and bittermelon (fu gua (苦瓜) in Cantonese. Bittermelon is good for one's complexion and helps to get rid of acne, even if it does taste bitter. I suggest trying it before cutting it out of your life for good. Here is a recipe for stuffed fu gua soup, it's REALLY tasty: http://holybasil.wordpress.com/2007/10/12/canh-kh%E1%BB%95-qua-bitter-melon-soup/?Layout=Printer), stuffed bittermelon, anything chocolate, and maple walnut ice cream.
Current obsessions: Saiunkoku Monogatari (the tale of Saiunkoku (land of eight (or many, I forget ^3^) colours)), Ponyo, and Ranma 1 1/2.
Loves: tea, caffeine, chocolate, strawberries, sweet things, anime, manga, sudoku, kakuro, reading, writing, smutty fanfiction, and fanart.
Loathes: The injustice and inequality in this world!
I would like to: learn to be fluent in as many languages as I can; I'm only fluent in English right now, with some understanding of French, since I was raised in a province where French is a mandatory part of the curriculum from grades 1 to 9, with the option to take it throughout high school--I still wouldn't go to Paris, or even Montreal, with the little French that I know however. I would really love to learn Cantonese more than French though, since a whole side of my family speaks it and my brothers and I do not.
I plan to: live in HK one day and be successful in university, hopefully going on to med school or law school; I honestly can't see myself in any other field than medicine or law.
I'm horrible for: not responding to people for a long time; I'm a very busy person!, and bouts of writer's block (it's so horrible!)
Personality: Somewhat crazy, random, cynical, sarcastic, and rational, all at the same time.
The link to my Gaia is below: I joined about a year ago, go ahead and friend me if you want. I'm not a habitual user though, keep in mind -- especially during the school year.
